Spring is here Charlottesville, plant a tree - FOR FREE!

Despite the threatened Sunday snowfall, of which I remain skeptical, spring is here and the time has come to turn your attention to your yards, clean out the leftover leaves and get ready for plantings. One of the items on your plantings list should be a tree! Trees are wonderful parts of the environment and there are many good reasons to have them as a part of your property.

- Everyone knows the 'good old established' neighborhoods by their full and mature trees
- Trees actually can increase property values as they offer a wonderful curb appeal
- In the summer, trees can help to keep your home cool as they shade your home from the sun; deciduous trees have the helpful effect of shedding their leaves during winter to allow all of the warming and utility saving sunlight to help your home stay warm as well
